Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
unLooper (“the app”, “we”) is a personal mental‑wellness tool. We built it to be private by default. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
- Your reflections, thought maps, decisions, moods and night notes are stored on your device.
- No ads, trackers or analytics SDKs — and we don’t sell your data.
- Text is only sent off your device when you use an AI feature.
- You can export or delete everything at any time in Settings.
1. Data stored on your device
Everything you create — sessions, thought maps, decisions, mood check‑ins, night reflections and preferences — is saved locally. We have no server that stores your personal content and we cannot read it.
2. AI‑assisted features
Some features use a third‑party AI provider, OpenRouter. Only when you tap one of these features is the specific text for that request sent to generate a response. We don’t send your other content, your name or account. See openrouter.ai/privacy. If you never use an AI feature, no reflection text leaves your device.
3. Subscriptions
Purchases are handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, which validates your subscription. RevenueCat receives a random app‑generated identifier and purchase info — not your name, email or reflections. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
4. Notifications
Reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device and are not sent through our servers.
5. What we don’t collect
No advertising identifiers or ad networks. No third‑party analytics. No contacts, photos, location or health data.
6. Your choices
Export your data as JSON, or delete everything, in Settings. Deleting the app also removes local data. Prefer nothing to be sent? Simply don’t use the AI features.
7. Children
unLooper is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.
8. Not a medical service
unLooper is a self‑reflection tool, not a medical, diagnostic or crisis service. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the date above reflects material changes.
